Te Tuhi Colour Wheels
We went to Te Tuhi and we learnt about the colour wheel. We learned that the primary colours are blue, red and yellow. We learnt that secondary colours are green, orange and purple. We learnt about tertiary colours too! We painted lime green, red orange and red purple too. Some of us thought it was tricky and some of us thought it was easy. When we made our colour wheel lady bugs the curvy cutting was really tricky. I am going to practice curvy cutting more.

I Am Learning About Fractions
I know that three flowers is half of six. I know how to show half of a rectangle. I know a fraction symbol has a number at the top and bottom and has a line in it but I got confused about which numbers it should be. I am not sure how to show quarter of a rectangle. I think fractions are tricky.

I Am Learning To Speak To An Audience
On Fridays we have Show & Tell and we can bring something from home to share with our class. When we are speaking our focus is using a loud, clear voice and looking at our audience. I showed our class my toy jaguar. I found it easy to share news. I liked it!
I Am Learning To Use Full Stops And Capital Letters
Our learning intention:
We are learning to use capital letters and full stops in the right places.
Our success criteria: Our sentences start with a capital letter - We have used a capital letter for the word ‘I’ - We have used a capital letter for names - We have used full stops at the end of our sentences.
My reflection: I used a full stop at the end of my sentences. My next learning step is to use capital letters at the start of my sentences and for the word I. I find it tricky to remember capital letters.

Welcome to Room 11!
This is me in Room 11. On our Hive of Learning wall display I am a bee. We talked about learning and I said: “I like art best because you never know what’s going to happen. It’s exciting!”
